Fuu has lived a rather hard life. Her father has been missing "for a long time," and her mother died a year before the beginning of Fuu's journey with Jin and Mugen. She was working to support herself in a teashop when she met Mugen and Jin (more on those two in the Relationships section). Though Fuu might have a cheerful and sweet personality, she is capable of taking care of herself (though still is a bit naive sometimes!) She obviously isn't so naive that she doesn't understand the fudal system that she is living in, and understands what "goes on" inside a brothel and how women end up in such places, along with what she has to do to stay out of one. Nevertheless, Fuu is determined to make the long and unknown journey to find the samurai who smells like sunflowers...
